Outlook Settings

Enterprise Organizer Pro can integrate with Microsoft Outlook (see Outlook Integration). The integration settings are managed from the Enterprise Organizer Pro Settings button > Outlook.

Enable Enterprise Organizer Pro Outlook Integration

The Outlook integration has two parts: e-mail archival and Outlook cabinets. Both are facilitated with special toolbars Enterprise Organizer Pro can add to Outlook. The toolbars are optional for Outlook cabinets, but required for e-mail archival.

To show the toolbars in Outlook, select Enable Enterprise Organizer Pro Toolbar in Outlook.

Prompt to Create a Drawer with Selected Outlook Contact

If you’re using the Enterprise Organizer Pro toolbars in Outlook, one of the options is to jump from an Outlook contact to the contact’s drawer in Enterprise Organizer Pro. If the contact doesn’t have a drawer, Enterprise Organizer Pro will ask if you’d like to add the drawer before switching to Enterprise Organizer Pro.

To disable this prompt and never add the drawer, de-select Prompt to Create a Drawer with Selected Outlook Contact.

Include Public Folders when Updating Outlook Folders

By default, Enterprise Organizer Pro will only look for local Outlook folders. If you also want to use shared public folders from the network, select Include Public Folders when Updating Outlook Folders.

NOTE: If there are many public Outlook folders on the network or your Exchange server, allow plenty of time for the update.

Outlook Contact Folders

Enterprise Organizer Pro shows a list of contact folders it has found in Outlook. It also shows if a folder has been mapped to one of your Enterprise Organizer Pro cabinets. Each folder has a checkbox. These checkboxes pertain to Enterprise Organizer Pro’s advanced e-mail archival feature, where Enterprise Organizer Pro remembers where you’ve saved messages for each contact in the past. Use the checkboxes to tell Enterprise Organizer Pro whether or not to query a contact list when it is looking up contacts. See Saving Outlook E-mail for more information about this feature.

Use the Update Outlook Folders button to re-query Outlook and update the list. Use the Cabinet Mapping button to create a new cabinet based on the selected contact list. See Outlook Cabinets for more information about Outlook cabinets.
