Search Types

Enterprise Organizer Pro supports two different types of searches: Plain English and Boolean. There are also two options for locating near-matches: Fuzzy Matching and Stemming Matches.

Plain English v. Boolean

With a Plain English search, you simply provide the words you would like to search for. Enterprise Organizer Pro will look for documents which contain any of those words. See Plain English Searches for more information.

With Boolean searches, you use the special keywords and, or and not to build sophisticated and precise search queries. See Boolean Searches for more information.

Fuzzy Matching

Fuzzy matching will find a word even if it is misspelled. For example, a fuzzy search for apple will find appple. Fuzzy matching can be useful when you are searching text that may contain typographical errors, or for text that has been scanned using optical character recognition (OCR).See Advanced Search Options for more information.

Stemming Matches

Stemming extends a search to cover grammatical variations on a word. For example, a search for fish would also find fishing, and a search for applied would also find applying, applies, and apply. See Advanced Search Options for more information.
