Folder Templates

Many users and offices find that they use the same folder layouts over and over. The Folder Templates feature provides an easy way to automatically place a pre-defined set of folders in a drawer or folder.

For example, Cheryl CPA always wants all of her client drawers to have the same folder layout. Using the Folder Templates feature, she predefines the folder layout she wants to use. Now she can apply this folder layout to any drawer in her cabinet. And when she creates a new drawer she can automatically populate the drawer with her folders.

Manage Folder Templates

Manage your folder templates from the Tools button > Folder Templates. This displays the Folder Templates dialog, where you can add/edit/delete templates and see a preview of the folder layouts.

IMPORTANT: Editing or deleting a Folder Template will not affect locations where you previously used the folder template. For example, if you delete a Folder Template you will not delete folders in your file cabinet that were created from the template. Also, if you rename or change the folders in a Folder Template, this will not rename or change folders in your file cabinet that were created from the template.

Add/Edit a Folder Template

To add or edit a Folder Template, go to the Tools button > Folder Templates, then click the Add or Edit button. See Add a Folder Template for more information.
