Access the Manage Files settings from the Settings button > Manage Files option.
Below the Drawer, Folder and File lists you can show the number of visible items in that view. Note that this option can slightly affect the speed of listing files.
If you would like to confirm your drag/drop operations with an option to cancel them, select the Display confirmation dialog when dragging and dropping option. If this option is not selected, drag/drop operations will be immediate and cannot be undone.
If you’re having issues with some PDF thumbnails not displaying properly in the Enhanced Thumbnails view (for example, displaying as black boxes), try using the Alternate PDF Thumbnailing setting.
By default, renaming will happen in Enterprise Organizer Pro’s Rename dialog so you can take advantage of Naming Options. Use this setting to activate in-line renaming like Windows uses. With this setting on, you can click the selected file/folder/drawer a second time to rename it in-place. Note that other rename methods will still invoke the dialog (F2, right-click > Rename, Files/Folders/Drawers task buttons > Rename, Rename button).
You can display info about a file, such as its size, modified time, and in some cases, a thumbnail, when you hover the mouse pointer over the file. Note that in some cases this can degrade system performance.
Normally double-clicking a folder just expands that folder. Child folders remain collapsed. Activating this setting makes a double-click expand the folder and all child folders. Here’s how it works:
Double-click a collapsed folder to fully expand the folder and its children. Double-click an expanded folder to fully collapse it. Double-click a drawer to fully expand every folder in the drawer.
The Cabinet Root Path is the default location where new file cabinets will be created. When you create a new cabinet, the suggested location will be based on the Cabinet Root Path, like c:My CabinetsNew Cabinet. But note that creating cabinets in this location is optional — you can always override the default and provide a custom path.
The Default Increment option specifies your preferred increment format for situations where Enterprise Organizer Pro creates multiple files with the same filename. One situation is when you open a file as a new version from the Open button. Enterprise Organizer Pro will automatically increment the new version. For example, if you open letter.doc as a new version, Enterprise Organizer Pro may name the new version letter 01.doc. Use the Default Increment option to select the format you prefer for incrementing file names.
If there’s a gap in a series of files, this option will fill it. For example, assume that you already have Document 01.pdf, Document 02.pdf, and Document 04.pdf. If Fill Increment Gaps is enabled, the next document will be Document 03.pdf. Without this option, the next document will always be after the highest number, or Document 05.pdf in this case.
Use these options to control to what extent Enterprise Organizer Pro automatically "refreshes" to show changes in the file listings.
If some of the file details don’t refresh properly when you’re using the Details view for showing files, try enabling Full File Refreshing. Note that with network drives, enabling full file refreshing can cause excessive refreshes and flicker.
If performance is slow on network drives (especially over VPNs), try disabling some of the notifications.
Use this option to customize the file types available in the File Filters list (see File Management Settings).
Do not include a dot (".") and separate multiple extensions with commas. Also note that you can use an asterisk ("*") as a wildcard. So, for example, "doc*" will match any Microsoft Word document: doc, docx, docm.
This filter list will show any Word, PowerPoint, Excel, WordPerfect, PDF, or common image file:
do*,pp*,pot*,sld*,xl*,wp*,pdf,jp*,png,gif
