Search Settings

Access the search settings from the Settings button > Search option.

Default Search Engine

Enterprise Organizer Pro Professional includes its own built-in search engine, the Advanced Search engine. Enterprise Organizer Pro also integrates with Windows Search. Use the Search Engine option to select the search engine that Enterprise Organizer Pro should use by default.

Note that you’ll only see the Windows Search option if it’s installed and running on your computer. Enterprise Organizer Pro will not install it for you.

Windows Indexing Options

This button will show the indexing options for Windows Search.

NOTE: This is just a shortcut to the Windows Control Panel > Indexing Options. These settings aren’t part of Enterprise Organizer Pro.

Maximum Search Results

Use this option to limit the number of search results to see. Setting this number too high will make searches take longer. Try to limit your search results to a reasonable, useful number.

PDF Hit Highlighting

When you preview PDF files in your search results, you can have the search terms highlighted in the document. There are two ways to do this:

HTML
You’ll see an HTML preview of the document with hyperlinks for jumping from term to term. This is the default method and the same method used for other file types.
Adobe
If you have Adobe Acrobat, PDF files can be shown in Acrobat with search terms highlighted in yellow.
