Log on tab

Advanced Scan Pack has two Windows services (Advanced Scan Pack Listener and Advanced Scan Pack Processor) and two web applications (for the Network Scanning and InterActive device clients). By default these components are running with the following user accounts:

On this screen a user credential can be specified, which will be used for the mentioned components.

Note:

For proper functioning and avoiding authentication problems, it is recommended to specify an administrative user account here.

Log on as checkbox: If checked, the specified user account is used. If unchecked, the default user accounts will be used.

Encrypt ’Web Configuration’ file: If checked, the specified account information is stored in the configuration file of the Advanced Scan Pack device clients in encrypted format.

Change ASP.NET credential settings to provide web service with sufficient user rights: This option modifies the "processModel" tag of the machine.config file and will be used to give the scan software the appropriate rights. Activating this option could be important when connecting to third party web applications.

Note:

Modifying the machine.config may affect proper working of other web applications.
