This module can be used for lookup purposes. This makes it possible to populate a list of lookup values with the user information from an IBM Lotus environment.
When the user selects IBM Lotus as the Module, a pop up window will appear where the IBM Lotus Domino server or the IBM Lotus Notes client information needs to be specified in order to connect to the IBM Lotus environment. Once the correct settings are specified, the user will select the Source, which will be either the People or Groups. Once a source is selected the Display text column is populated with all of the properties for the selected source that will display at the scan device while the Metadata value column is populated with the properties of the source that will be used in the application as metadata.
A Description can be specified as either a fixed value or as an item from the selected IBM Lotus source. If a fixed value is selected, then that value will appear for each selected item from the lookup list, where a selected item from the IBM Lotus source will change based on which item is selected. This description will be displayed on the scan device. Using the Filter function, the available records can be limited based on the specified criteria. The filter can be specified by using the wizard-based window as shown below:
A default list-item can be selected either by Default metadata value or Default display text. Other than selecting from the Lookup list the user will also have the option to enter a value using the keyboard.
