Microsoft SharePoint - Browse


This module can be used for Browse purposes which make it possible for a user to select a SharePoint location by browsing through a SharePoint document library structure. From the scan device interface, a user will be able to select which SharePoint location to store a document.

The logon settings can be specified so that the user has sufficient access to the SharePoint location when browsing at the scan device. By selecting the Default account, the account which is specified under the Log on setting will be used when attempting to access the SharePoint location. Selecting This account will allow for specifying an alternative account. The Username and Password fields must be filled in. The Domain field is optional and is typically only needed when specifying a domain account instead of a local account.

To connect to the SharePoint server specify the SharePoint server URL. Please provide the hostname in the Server field (fully qualified DNS name or IP-address) plus the server root i.e. http://192.168.1.102/sharepoint. In addition if the SharePoint server has multiple Top-level websites and/or Subsites a Top-level website and Subsite can be specified. The Root folder must be specified, this will be the starting location where the user will begin browsing, the user will not be able to browse to a location above this root folder.
