External Authentication:

Watch folder the information of the user that is logged on to the scan device is stored in a file by the External Authentication software. This file will be read by the application and in this way the application captures the user information of the authenticated user. The External Authentication software uses an executable with the name QExternalAuthenticationHelper.exe, the executable can be found in the installation folder of the application.

For more inf ormation on your External Authentication software, consult the documentation for the specific application used.

Note:

The executable must be accessible for the External Authentication software, therefore it could happen that the executable must be copied to the server where the External Authentication software is installed on. For more information and instructions please consult the relevant chapter of the Installation Guide.

Set user account: if checked, you can enter a specific set of credentials here, which can differ from the currently logged in user account. Be aware that the provided credentials must have sufficient privileges to access the specified Watch folder.
