File conversion:

Allows to convert the scanned original into one of the following formats:

• CSV / CSV unicode
• Excel / Excel XLSX
• JPEG
• OpenDocument Text
• PDF - Image-only (version 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and PDF/A; with or without MRC compression)
  Note: the PDF/A format cannot be used in conjunction with the Bates stamp and PDF security functionality.
• RTF
• PDF - Searchable (version 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and PDF/A; with or without MRC compression)
  Note: the PDF/A format cannot be used in conjunction with the Bates stamp and PDF security functionality.
• Text (in UTF-16 encoding)
• TIFF
• Word / Word DOCX

OCR:

• Use OCR result as metadata [OCR_TEXT]: by checking this option the OCR results can be used as metadata.
• Language:select what language is used for the scan originals, choosing the right language will improve the OCR results. 
• Image properties:
• Merge pages: if this option is checked all scan pages of the scanjob will be merged into one output file. If this option is unchecked one output file will be created for every scan page in the scan job. 
• Deskew: this option detects the skew of the scan pages and will straighten the image to improve recognition. It has effect just on images with lower than 15-degree skew.
• Despeckle: this option removes small specks and impurities from the scan pages.
• Use default job separation sheet In the installation package there is a PDF containing a special barcode. This PDF can be printed and merged into the scanned papers to splitting the output documents. If this option is selected, the imported images are investigated and the special barcode is looked for.
• Use blank page separation this option enables detection of a blank page to separate a scan job.
• Remove blank pages: this option removes blank pages. 
• Rotate: this option rotates the scan pages; the available options are 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees and AUTO.
  Note: it is recommended to use the AUTO option, the application will automatically determine the page orientation and accordingly rotate the page.
• Split booklet*:  this option will automatically split the pages of a booklet and reorder the pages so they appear in proper reading order.
• Choose Width when opened booklet appears as landscape.
• Choose Height when opened booklet appears as portrait
