Users Overview

Depending on the purchased license and/or installed features, the Users option may not be enabled for this ScanFlowStore installation.

Triggers can be assigned to users and/or groups. A user will have to log on when authentication is enabled on the scan device before a scan can be made. Using the authentication credentials the (LDAP) user properties can be looked up and used in the program as metadata, it is also possible to build a personalized scan template menu based on the individual user requirements. Please read Metadata description for more information regarding user metadata.

There are two ways to create users namely manually and by importing from an LDAP server. When using the manual method all users and the user properties need to be added manually. When importing the users from an LDAP server the users can be chosen from a user list that is generated by the LDAP server.

Note:

Changes made to a users LDAP profile will not automatically be reflected on the created users however during the LDAP import there is a possibility to update/synchronize the users with the LDAP information.
