How to create custom hot buttons

Hot buttons allow for a customized, visual representation of the templates to enhance user experience and simplify the scanning process by associating templates with easy to identify images. A collection of Hot buttons are already pre-installed in ScanFlowStore, but it is possible to create them as desired.

The prerequisites for Hot buttons to correctly display them on a scan device are:

• The dimensions of the image should be and may not exceed 84 x 84 pixels.
• The image can be either color or black and white, depending on the type of scan device.
• The image must be a Portable Network Graphics file (.png).

The original hot button images can be found in the Images folder under the ScanFlowStore installation folder. These original images can be used as sample images for creating new ones.

How to use a new image in ScanFlowStore:

1. In the Administration Tool stop all services: Select the Stop process menu item from the Process main menu; At the general Settings stop the ScanFlowStoreListener.
2. Close the Administration Tool.
3. Copy the new hot button image(s) to the Images folder under the ScanFlowStore installation folder.
4. Start Administration Tool and assign the new hot button image(s) to the triggers.
5. Start the services again.
