Manually Update an Index

If you’re trying to find a very recent document, it might not be in your search index yet. In this case, you can update the index manually.

Windows Search

Windows updates its indexes on-the-fly as files change or get added. There is no way to force an update.

Enterprise Organizer Pro’s Advanced Search

If you have enabled auto-indexing, Enterprise Organizer Pro updates its indexes regularly (see Activate Auto-Indexing). To force an update:

  1. In the Search view, click the Manage Indexes button, OR ...
In the Manage view, click the Cabinets button > Indexing Options tab
  2. Check the box for the cabinet(s) you want to update
  3. For the Type of Index option, select Incremental
  4. Click Start Indexer

Full Index
