Manually Update an Index

If you’re trying to find a very recent document, it might not be in your search index yet. In this case, you can update the index manually.
Windows Search
Windows updates its indexes on-the-fly as files change or get added. There is no way to force an update.
Enterprise Organizer Pro’s Advanced Search
If you have enabled auto-indexing, Enterprise Organizer Pro updates its indexes regularly (see Activate Auto-Indexing). To force an update:
- In the Search view, click the Manage Indexes button, OR ...
In the Manage view, click the Cabinets button > Indexing Options tab - Check the box for the cabinet(s) you want to update
- For the Type of Index option, select Incremental
- Click Start Indexer
Full Index
To rebuild an index from scratch:
- In the Search view, click the Manage Indexes button, OR ...
In the Manage view, click the Cabinets button > Indexing Options tab - Check the box for the cabinet(s) you want to update
- For the Type of Index option, select Full
- Click Start Indexer
