Winshare - Store

By selecting Winshare the scanned document will be stored in a Windows folder. 

Fields that display the metadata browser icon can be populated with a metadata value.

• Folder select the path were the scanned document should be stored.
• Subfolder start with the dynamic creation of paths. To build a folder path existing of multiple subfolders please use the following syntax [metadata1][metadata2]. Use either fixed and/or variable metadata.
• Auto create subfolder the application will automatically create a subfolder using metadata if the subfolder does not exists in the path. If this option is not ticked and the subfolder that normally would be created with the metadata does not exists the scan will be treated as an error and therefore stored in the error folder.
• Filename the file name to be used for the scanned document. Use either fixed and/or variable metadata.
• Store type: select the store type, the options are:
• New: a check is carried out to determine whether the document already exists in the specified path. If the document does exist, an incremental number (e.g. invoice_00001.pdf ) will be assigned to the new document).
• Overwrite: a check is carried out to determine whether the document already exists in the specified path. If the document does exist, the old document will be overwritten by the new scanned document.
• Append before: a check is carried out to determine whether the document already exists in the specified path. If the document does exist, the new document will be added to the existing document. All new pages will be placed before the existing pages.
• Append after: a check is carried out to determine whether the document already exists in the specified path. If the document does exist, the new document will be added to the existing document. All new pages will be placed after the old pages.
• (NTFS) File properties: If the file system is NTFS-formatted additional information can be entered about the document under file properties.
• Title, Subject, Author, Category, Keywords and Comments: can be filled using either fixed and/or variable metadata.
