Exact Synergy Enterprise - Lookup

This module can be used for lookup purposes, which makes it possible to select the value of Exact Synergy Enterprise entities from a list on the device client screen before scanning and the selected value is stored as a metadata entry.

If a new lookup question is created, Exact Synergy Enterprise must be selected for the Module setting. At this time or if an existing Exact Synergy Enterprise lookup question is opened for editing, the connection settings for the Exact Synergy Enterprise system should be specified on the dialog below:

Here the following connection settings must be set correctly:

• Server: The name of the SQL Server used by Exact Synergy Enterprise.
  If necessary the name of the database instance can also be set separated by backslash ().
• Database: Name of the SQL Server database used by Exact Synergy Enterprise.
• Installation folder: Full path of the Exact Synergy Enterprise installation folder.
  The installation folder can be selected from a folder selection dialog by pressing the browse (…) button.
• Windows authentication: Select this option if the SQL Server database of Exact Synergy Enterprise can be accessed with the user, who is running the ScanFlowStore services (Administration Tool and Listener).
• SQL authentication: Select this option to specify a user account for the SQL server database of Exact Synergy Enterprise.
• Username: Username of the account for the SQL authentication.
• Password: Password of the account for the SQL authentication.

After providing the connection options, the other settings of the lookup question must be specified. The general lookup question settings are described in another section, so just the Exact Synergy Enterprise related topics are discussed here. The Exact Synergy Enterprise related settings can be seen below:

• Source: Select an Exact Synergy Enterprise entity group (like “Companies”, “Creditors”, “Orders”, etc.) Items of the selected entity group will be listed on the device screen. When a source is selected, a question dialog appears whether the available items of the selected Exact Synergy Enterprise entity group should be downloaded immediately. Downloading data is useful to review the available items or select a default item.
• Meta data value column: Select a property field of the selected Exact Synergy Enterprise entity group. This property of the selected entity will be used by ScanFlowStore during the processing of the scanned images.
• Display text column: Select a property field of the selected Exact Synergy Enterprise entity group. This property of the entities will be visible in the lookup list on the device client screen.
